Top candidates try to close the deal ahead of caucus night - kwwl.com

DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV) - Recent polls show four Democrats - Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg and Elizabeth Warren - nearly tied at the top, and trying to close the deal before Iowans caucus Monday night.

In a one-on-one interview, with KTIV's Matt Breen early Monday morning, former Vice President Joe Biden he feels "good", but he stopped short of predicting the outcome of the Iowa Caucus. After all, Biden is one of eleven Democrats still in the race.

Biden says it comes down to "who can get things done." Since the day he announced his candidacy, Biden says he's focused on "restoring the soul of the country" and rebuilding the middle class. Biden insists it all comes down to who is going to lead the way.

One thing Biden knows for sure is that person isn't President Donald Trump.

"You see how he has divided the country, how he has alienated us from our allies around the world, and how he's embraced dictators," said Biden, (D) Democratic Presidential Candidate. "I think it is extremely, extremely destabilizing if he is elected for four more years. I think it will change the nature of who we are as a country at least for the next generation."

As Iowans caucus, tonight, Biden wants Iowans to think about two things: who is able the unite the country, and who is able to bring us back from "the brink" on the world scene.

Biden believes he's the candidate that can do both of those things. But, he said if Iowans believe someone else is able to do those things, then they should support them.
