Washington Football Team quarterback Taylor Heinicke has shown no fear in his NFL playoff debut.
With the Burgundy and Gold trailing by eight in the third quarter of Saturday's tilt with Tampa Bay, Washington was faced with a third-and-5 from the nine-yard line.
After initially looking like he was going to be sacked, Heinicke broke free and raced down the left sideline. Then, what happened next was nothing short of amazing.
After just passing the four-yard line, Heinicke dove. The quarterback went all out, body parallel to the ground, and reached just across the pylon for an incredible touchdown run.
Naturally, several of Heinicke's teammates came over to celebrate the score with No. 4. But, perhaps no one rushed over quicker than Washington rookie Chase Young.
As Heinicke got up from the ground, it was No. 99 right next to him, pointing at the quarterback's nameplate on the back of his jersey.
This wasn't the first time Young has shown his love for Heinicke. When the quarterback came in for Washington in Week 16, Young went over to him to give him a vote of confidence. Heinicke's response at that moment impressed the rookie pass rusher, and Young has had only glowing things to say about him since.
Of course, the way Young pronounces Heinicke's last name has also become a thing, too.
The touchdown brought Washington within two points of the Bucs, but the Burgundy and Gold were unable to convert the conversion to tie the game.
