What are some things the Minnesota Vikings should do differently in Week 17?
No matter what happens this Sunday against the Detroit Lions, the Minnesota Vikings are going to finish the 2020 season with a losing record.
The Vikings defense has become one of the worst in the NFL this year and their special teams continue to be a roller coaster of emotions every single week.
The only bright spot for Minnesota as the season comes to a merciful close is that the offense is humming. While they haven’t been able to outscore what the defense has given up in recent weeks, they are moving the ball at will and putting plenty of points on the board.
It’s been great to see, but it is too little too late and this game against the Lions means nothing for the Vikings in terms of the playoffs, with its only significance being that the result will determine where each of these two teams end up picking in the 2021 NFL Draft.
While there is nothing for Minnesota to lose in this game, they may as well experiment a bit and try out some different things.
Whether this is just giving a few young players who haven’t played much this season some more time on the field or auditioning replacements for players the team won’t bring back in 2021, let’s look at a few changes the Vikings should toy with in the final game of the 2020 season.
