Big Blue Madness could look more like a practice out of the Joe Craft Center this year than a parade of dunks and a dancing Matthew Mitchell.
According to KSR’s Matt Jones, he is hearing that Kentucky Basketball will try and hold Big Blue Madness without fans inside of Memorial Coliseum ahead of the 2020-21 season. The event could take place within the next couple of weeks with the goal to be broadcasted on the SEC Network.
Hearing UK is trying to do a Big Blue Madness in a couple of weeks with no fans at Memorial
Goal is for it to be on the SEC Network

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the University is already expecting significant capacity restrictions at both Rupp Arena and Memorial Coliseum for the upcoming men’s and women’s basketball seasons. If Kentucky planned on not allowing fans for Big Blue Madness from the jump, moving it to the smaller venue at Memorial and televising it makes sense.
Considering everything else that has happened this year, I’ll take Big Blue Madness any way I can get it.
