PASCO COUNTY, FL — Pasco County seniors age 65 and up will have another chance to try to get an appointment for a coronavirus vaccine on Sunday.
The website to obtain a vaccination appointment will open at 2 p.m. In past weeks, all appointments have been filled within minutes after the website opened.
Any senior age 65 and up can log onto patientportalfl.com or call 1-844-770-8548 to try to get an appointment. An appointment is mandatory to get a vaccination at one of the two Pasco County vaccination sites operated by the Department of Health-Pasco in partnership with Pasco County Emergency Management.
Vaccination sites are at Gulf View Square mall in Port Richey and Saint Leo University in St. Leo.
Additionally, DOH-Pasco has expanded outreach efforts to dental and medical offices that are not affiliated with hospitals who have front-line health care workers who would like to be vaccinated.
Practice managers are asked to complete a survey for staff who have direct patient contact and want to receive the vaccine. The survey will help establish the best way to provide vaccinations to health care workers. The survey will be open through Friday, March 5.
Drive-thru vaccination clinics are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Saint Leo University and Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the former Sears store at Gulf View Square mall.
Residents are required to have a photo ID when checking in for all vaccination appointments. If the online patient portal was used to register for an appointment (instead of calling), residents should bring a printed or digital copy of the confirmation email they received containing a QR code.
Residents who have an appointment for a second dose should bring a photo I.D, the vaccination card they were given when they received their first dose, and the QR code with the date and time for the second appointment.
Anyone who received his or her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine through DOH-Pasco 28 days ago or more and has not received or missed an appointment for a second dose should go to the same location where the first dose was administered with an ID and vaccination card. Not appointment is necessary.
Residents can also get vaccinations at participating Publix, Winn-Dixie and Walmart locations in Pasco County. Publix is now offering vaccines at 19 locations in Pasco County. Winn-Dixie and Walmart are offering vaccines as they receive new shipments. Residents can go directly to the coronavirus websites for each of the providers to schedule an appointment.
Part-time residents can receive vaccines with proof of seasonal residency. To see what documents are required to prove seasonal residency, click here.
