The work to enhance the roads, sidewalks and utilities on Jefferson Avenue, Main Street and Jackson Avenue was slated to start in spring 2020 and be completed by summer but was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. The improvements are being made to raise pedestrian mobility, accessibility and safety in this area, city officials have said.
