GREEN BAY (WKOW)-- The upcoming NFL season has a new reality to it not just for the players, but for the fans. The Packers finally kicked off their training camp where normally thousands of fans are in attendance to watch. This time Title Town was a ghost town.
The Packers already announced that there will be no fans in attendance at 2020 training camp practices. But, that didn't stop a few die-hard fans from finding a way to catch a glimpse of their favorite team.
"I'm really interested," Fan Collin Hicks said. " I'm sure everyone is interested around here. It's definitely a weird feeling this year not getting to see a lot of stuff with no fans at the stadiums."
How about catching a flight for practice? Two brothers from New York flew in this morning to watch some practice through a small gap in the fence.
"You know, it's different," Fan Jack Hillman said. "I guess it's for the greater good to keep everyone safe but it's very different."
Catching a glimpse of the Packers is slim pickings right now. They will not be allowed inside for any of the training camp, and Lambeau Field won't allow fans inside for any games until at least November.
