Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is trying out a retail social-distancing technology from a Los Angeles-based company, RSVD to help protect staff at its two pet adoption centers and the visiting public.
The technology platform will allow for scheduling “fast pass” visits to spcaLA locations which are currently closed until May 15. This is the first non-profit that RSVD is working with.
The company believes that this technology will be used by a wide variety of businesses not only for social distancing but also for crowd control long after the pandemic has ended.
Some benefits for retail companies, event, service and venues using the technology platform include
- Customers can reserve time slots for necessary visits to retailers and businesses
- Safe social distancing
- Helps eliminate lines while guaranteeing store access for customers
- Mobile web technology is white-labeled for partners or integrated into existing websites, with turnkey launch capabilities allowing partners to go-live within 72 hours
- Three business models allow any size organization to customize the best option for their business
RSVD is offering this technology at cost to non-profits and small businesses during coronavirus pandemic. The company is donating 10 percent of revenues received to coronavirus relief charities.
Although spcaLA’s two pet adoptions shelters are closed, staff members continue with physical care of the animals.
