Blount played for the Eagles, Lions, Tennessee Titans, Tampa Buccaneers, Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots during his career. His video highlighted the majority of his stops during his career.

Blount won three Super Bowls during his playing days. His first two rings were earned with the Patriots and his third was won against New England with the Eagles in Super Bowl LII.

“All in all, I loved being a part of these organization(s) and the people involved in them,” Blount said. “I’m excited to move on to the next phase in my life!”

Blount ran for 6,306 yards and 56 rushing touchdowns during his nine-year career. He produced 766 rushing yards, 50 receiving yards and three total touchdowns during his lone season in Philadelphia.

During the Eagles’ postseason run to the franchise’s first Super Bowl title, Blount ran for 130 yards and three touchdowns, including a score in the big game.

Following his announcement, several former teammates offered him well wishes. Former Eagles teammates like Torrey Smith, Nathan Gerry and Vinny Curry commented on the post.
